Dear Families and Friends of Birch,
February is here! It is always amazing to me how time gets away from us. Winter months can seem long, but when school is in session, time flies by as we are always busy preparing children for a bright and successful future. Let’s remember during the month of February to make time for our loved ones, read with our children, and focus on the important things that life has to offer.
I am overwhelmed by our students’ generosity! Our recent collection to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society raised a total of $2,268.73. Thank you to everyone who was able to help such a deserving cause!
Is your child coming home telling you how exciting it is to be using our school iPads? We were fortunate to use federal dollars set aside for technology purchases to welcome a classroom set of iPads to extend learning opportunities to our 21stcentury learners. The iPads are set up with educational applications to provide reinforcement in all academic subject areas. The students enjoy using them, and are learning at the same time!
Our ‘Friendship Parties’ will take place on Tuesday, February 14that 2:30. PTA will be contacting room parent coordinators to discuss the details about the afternoon. Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions. We truly appreciate all of the donations sent in and the hard working volunteers for making our classroom parties so special for our students.
