Remembering those who served
Memorial Day is a federal holiday to remember those who died while serving in the country's armed forces. The holiday is observed every year on the last Monday of May. 
Maple Mini-Olympics
Maple Mini-Olympics began on May 14, 2015.  Opening ceremonies included teams seated by country, a brief history of the Olympics, a choir performance, and relay races by grade. 
Community Meeting Monday June 22nd at NOMS
The community is invited to attend an all call meeting on Monday, June 22nd, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. for an update on the progress of the building plans.

The school cable channels WOW (18)  and Time Warner (22) have a number of videos playing with district highlights and events. 
North Olmsted Intermediate Band Night with the Gladiators!
Congratulations to the Intermediate Eagle Band members who played the National Anthem at the Gladiators' Game.  Way to go, Eagles 
Would you like to host an exchange student?
NOHS exchange student Elsa Pahne from Sweden spent the year immersed in our culture and school and community activities as part of the AFS student exchange program.  
Ice Cream Social
Maple's Ice Cream Social  took place at Maple School
May 21, 2015 from 6:30-8:00. 
 
May Day Celebration
Maple's May Day Celebration honored Mrs. Norma May, who served Maple as School Secretary for 45 years of dedicated service. See Video Highlights (thanks Mrs. Brewer!) 
Welcome Back Anne Pyros
The district is pleased to welcome Anne Pyros back as the Associate Superintendent effective August 1, 2015. The Board of Education approved a three-year contract at their May 20th meeting. 
Summer Fun for Family
As the school year winds down, summer is right around the corner.  Your North Olmsted Public Library has a range of activities for the entire family. 
Bicentennial 5K Race
Calling all runners and walkers!  Mayor Kennedy is sponsoring a Bicentennial 5K Race/Walk on June 6th to raise funds for scholarships.  
3rd Quarter Scholars Honored
Congratulations to Maple's 3rd Quarter Scholars. Students earning Merit Roll, Honor Roll and Eagle Exellence status were honored at lunch and will receive certificates.  Eagle Exellence students were treated to lunch with Principal Alexandrou.

Football Opportunity
Summer Football camp at NOHS.  Discount for early registration. 
Middle School students will move to St. Richard's
The Middle School students will be housed at St. Richard's during the construction of the new 6-12 educational campus starting with the 2015/2016 school year.

The district is converting to a new service provider.  Please use this new link to access your information for the Parent Portal for Power School.  Delete any bookmarked old links.
