On Friday, November 18, 2016, Dr. Zalar took advantage of the
sun shining and mild weather to do a video update.
It's an exciting time for our community. Thank you for your support as
plans move forward to build a new High School/Middle School building complete
with a Performing Arts Center and new Athletic facilities.

|Groundbreaking Ceremony 10/17/16|
piece of North Olmsted history was made on 10/17/16 with an official
Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new 6-12 campus.
Here's a great drone "fly over" of the building site:
The new campus will transform the Butternut Ridge corridor and provide a
Gateway to North Olmsted that coordinates with the public library.
District and City officials joined students, parents and community members on
the lawn in front of the old administrative offices on 10/17/16 at 11:00 a.m.
to officially break ground with an upbeat ceremony that welcomed photo ops for
all in attendance to turn a shovel of dirt and become part of history for North
Saving a piece of history for our new campus:
You asked - we listened! Two of the trees - a Butternut and an Elm - cleared in the spring of 2016 as part of the site work for the new 6-12 campus hold historical and sentimental value for our North Olmsted community. At the annual Community Council Homecoming weekend 8/25 through 8/28 the trees were transformed into eagle sculptures that will be part of the new campus. The trunk of the Elm tree is now a "perched" eagle and the gnarled and knotty trunk of the Butternut tree is now an eagle sculpture. Time Lapse Cameras
Two time lapse cameras were installed 2/4/2016 to chronicle the progress of the demolition and the building of the new 6-12 campus. Check back often as the progress is captured on both cameras. (click the video playbacks both forward and back)

Building Plans Unveiled at 9/28/2015 Community Forum
Then Design Architecture (TDA) unveiled the first draft of the plans for our new 6-12 campus on Butternut Ridge Road. The site plan and initial renderings are attached.

A second Community Forum was held on October 26th to address questions and concerns from residents whose property is in closest proximity to the building project.
