Superintendent Dr. Mike Zalar,  District Treasurer Mr. Robert Matson and Ms. Lorraine Hribar - Head Cook for the District worked with Sodexo Director Patty Kinch, Administrative Assistant Cheryl Madison and Food Service helper Pam Kronz as the six aspiring chefs prepared their recipes and presented them for judging.

The recipes had to be original and healthy and the chefs created recipes using brown rice, black beans, jack fruit, vegetables and more.  The winner is Patrick Hill - 5th grader at Maple Intermediate - who made chicken enchilada zucchini boats.   Patrick's recipe will be sent in to the national competition.
