I hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.
As we enter the month of December, I think it’s important to once again thank the community, students, staff members, and NOPD for helping us get through a tough week in November. Threats to the safety of a school are unsettling and unfortunate, but they are a sad reality of the world we live in. Our job is to keep everyone as safe as possible at all times, to do our best to appropriately respond to the situation, and to continue teaching once safety has been verified. Your cooperation and support is greatly appreciated. I am once again pleased to say that all persons responsible for the threats and disturbances have been caught and are facing appropriate consequences. Hopefully this will deter further acts, and we will get back to what we are used to at NOHS; excellent instructional and non-instructional opportunities for our students.
As the festive month of December moves on, please plan on attending one of themany activities and concerts that will take place over the next three weeks. A full listing of activities is posted on the website. I hope to see many of you over the next three weeks. If not, please welcome my wishes for a safe and joyous holiday season for your family.
