The district health team works to ensure all students are health, safe and ready to learn. The health team works closely with families, staff members, and students to coordinate care, provide health education and reduce the spread of communicable disease. The district health team actively works to meet the needs of our students through a variety of tasks:
- Works as a liaison on all student health issues
- Member of the IEP team as health specialist
- CPR/AED training
- Oversees and develops Individual Health Plans
- Classroom health education
- Assists with emergency plans and health intervention
- Recommends/creates health policy and protocols
- Maintains immunization documentation
