The North Olmsted City Schools continue to be a high performing district. The teachers, administrators and support staff have worked hard to develop a program that has produced generations of successful graduates.
The transition to new public education reform initiatives such as the adoption of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Third Grade Reading Guarantee, new evaluation systems for both teachers and principals (OTES and OPES), and the adoption of a new State Report Card are huge changes that are all converging at the same time. These standards will significantly "raise the bar" for both student and staff accountability.
It is essential that we all work together to meet the challenge and provide a world class 21st century education for every child.
Part of our challenge is to upgrade our facilities and bring them into the 21st century. Our building plans include a new 6-12 educational campus that will replace our almost 85 year old Middle School and 50 year old High School with a new facility. The proposed building plans include a Performing Arts Center and upgraded Athletic Complex. Visit our homepage for details and drawings of the campus.
Please join me in making our community of North Olmsted a destination suburb for our future generations and our schools a gateway to the 21st century.
It is an exciting time as we begin the 2014-15 school year - Go Eagles!
