Schedule and Reminders (5/18/26)
Families of the North Olmsted Choral Department,
We are pleased to remind you of our final upcoming event for our 6-12 grade vocalists, happening on Monday, May 18 th . We hope
that this event will give students a sense of finality and growth through their choral journey, as well as the drive to keep pushing,
learning and excelling in North Olmsted vocal arts and signing up for choir next year (Pop Auditions 8th graders/HS students May
19).
? Attire Reminder (Students are not required to wear to school that day)
o MS – Black bottoms, white tops (as described in MS Choir Syllabus; same as December/All-City Concerts)
o HS - Check HS Syllabus
? Schedule
o ALL DAY Normal School Schedule
o 2:15 Students head home to eat a meal, get cleaned up and dressed
o 6:30 Middle school students are dropped off at MS office entrance
o 6:45 Doors Open (Donation Admission not REQUIRED)
o 7:00 Concert Begins (Curricular choirs first)
o 7:30 Intermission (MS students welcome to depart, but encouraged to stay for 2nd half)
? Mr. Phan will dismiss by class; please meet your student in the lobby of the Performing Arts Center
o 7:45 Concert continues (Concert Choir is first performing ensemble after intermission)
While we know that some of these details may not be ideal, as this is a weekday concert, we hope that exceptions can be made
where possible (homework preparation, meals, etc.). By allowing MS students to dismiss at intermission, our hope is that the
concert will not run late and that students will be able to finish all school work in time for the following school day. We hope that
this letter gives ample notice for preparation ahead of the event (this was also in the syllabus at the beginning of the year). We
certainly hope that everyone will enjoy the performance, and appreciate the fact that we get to come together in vocal harmony.
Thank you!
Alex Phan – Director of Choral Activities and Coordinator of Music for the N.O. City Schools (alexander.phan@nolmsted.org)
