Welcome to the North Olmsted City School District Technology Page. We will post important information regarding your students Technology. The mission of the North Olmsted City School District 1:1 program is to provide district approved technology to help enrich the student learning experience, create a collaborative learning environment, and to develop better technology skills that could be utilized in and out of school.  Our goal is to not only use technology to help make better learners, but to develop digital citizenship skills that will help make them better users, and keep them protected while they are using any technology. The goal of the 1:1 program l is to have a Chromebook for every student. Below is a list of all model Chromebooks we are currently utilizing.

The Chromebook

NOCS will be supplying students in grades K-12 with a Chromebook. All Chromebooks will be supported by the district.  This device will be the property of the district, but will be available for students to use on campus as well as anywhere outside of the district with internet access. Using the Chromebook  will allow student access to the G Suite for Education, Powerschool, and other web-based educational tools required by the curriculum. The Chromebook is an educational tool and not intended for gaming, social media/networking or other high end computing.
 

Ownership

The Chromebook is  the property of North Olmsted City Schools. Upon the student's graduation, the device may become the property of the student and be classified as his or her own personal device.  The district reserves the right to collect and re-issue a different Chromebook at any time.
