The mission of the North Olmsted City Schools – a partnership of students, staff, parents and the community dedicated to excellence – is to ensure that all students acquire the skills and knowledge to thrive in their future education and work by providing superior educators, programs and services, and expectations which maximize each student’s abilities and aspirations.

To realize this mission, the Curriculum and Instruction team is responsible for implementing and supporting robust programing that serves the whole child including academic, social, emotional, and physical needs of our students.  This is accomplished through ensuring programs and courses in grades PreK – 12 are aligned with Ohio’s Learning standards, selecting and managing educational and curriculum resources that provide all students with access and opportunity to high quality and engaging resources, selection and implementation of district level universal assessments, as well as coordinating Federal Programs, including Title I. The Curriculum and Instruction department also is responsible for state testing, instructional technology, gifted services, and facilitating and coordination professional development.

We are seeking to provide experiences for our students that will prepare them for their future by developing these competencies for all of our North Olmsted Graduates:

  • Critical Thinking
  • Creative Thinking
  • Communication
  • Collaboration
  • Cultural & Global Awareness
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Adaptability & Resilience
