How do teachers meet the needs of gifted students?

Teachers serve gifted students (& high ability learners) by...

      - Knowing their students deeply and understanding their learning profile (interests, strengths, weaknesses, social/emotional needs); Reviewing students’ WEPs & master gifted students lists to see how they are identified as gifted

      - Designing engaging and differentiated learning experiences for students that result in increased growth and achievement regardless of a students’ starting point

      - Communicating with parents- letting parents know that you understand their child's needs and how you are meeting those needs

      - Learning about the nature and needs of gifted students and taking time to review gifted education resources
