Resilient    Invested    Safe    Empathetic

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) is a district wide program that promotes positive student behavior. The program focuses on teaching students the skills they need to become positive and caring individuals in school, at home and in the community. North Olmsted City Schools is focusing on the elements of RISE - Resilient, Invested, Safe, Empathetic to help teach and reinforce positive student behaviors as well as a safe learning environment. 

The goal of PBIS is to promote positive behavior by setting clear expectations for students. When problem behaviors do occur, the school district can utilize different strategies to help correct the problem behavior and reinforce and teach the expected positive behavior.
